  • Card message content — the text you write when sending a card (stored temporarily to generate the card link)
  • Messages you send us — if you email us directly

Note: No account creation is required to send or receive a card. You do not need to provide any personal information to use the core free service.

Usage Information

We collect anonymous usage data through Microsoft Clarity:

  • Pages visited and time spent on our site
  • Referring website or link
  • General country-level location (not precise)
  • Device type and browser (no fingerprinting)

We use Microsoft Clarity, a privacy-focused analytics tool that provides heatmaps and session insights. It does not collect personal data or share information with advertising networks.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Deliver your card to the recipient via a shareable link
  • Send you the email content you subscribed to (daily affirmations, project updates)
  • Respond to your questions and support requests
  • Understand which parts of the site are most useful so we can improve them

4. Third-Party Services We Use

We use the following third-party services to operate The Vibe Check Project:

  • Google AdSense — We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our site. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites. We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Card message content is stored only as long as needed to serve the card link. We do not store payment information — all payments are handled directly by Ko-fi or Stripe.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Unsubscribe from our email list at any time (unsubscribe link in every email)
  • Request deletion of your email address from our MailerLite list
  • Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
  • Contact Ko-fi or Stripe directly to manage your payment and account data

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use Microsoft Clarity for analytics, which does not set advertising cookies or track you across sites. Google Fonts may set cookies for font delivery. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

9. Children's Privacy

Age Requirements

The Vibe Check Project is not directed to children under 13 years of age. If you are under 13, please do not use this service or provide any personal information, including your email address.

COPPA Compliance

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from anyone under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information from our systems and from our email provider (MailerLite) as quickly as possible.

For Parents and Guardians

If you believe your child under 13 has provided personal information to us — for example, by signing up for our email list — please contact us immediately at WeCare@TheVibeCheckProject.com. Upon receiving your request, we will:

  • Verify your identity as the parent or guardian
  • Promptly delete the child's information from our systems and from MailerLite
  • Confirm deletion to you by return email

Users Between 13 and 17

Users aged 13–17 may use the free card-sending service. However, making purchases through Ko-fi or Stripe requires a valid payment method, which minors should only use with parental permission and supervision, in accordance with those platforms' own terms of service. Parents or guardians may review Ko-fi's and Stripe's privacy policies linked in Section 4 above.

European Users Under 16 (GDPR Article 8)

For users located in the European Union, the minimum age for digital consent is 16 (or a lower age established by your EU member state, but no less than 13). If you are under 16 and located in the EU, you should obtain consent from a parent or guardian before signing up for our email list or making any purchase through this site.
